General accessibility information:From www.qhotels.co.uk: Arrival At The Stratford Hotel, you will find approximately 100 parking spaces of which 2 are specifically reserved for blue badge holders. These are located directly outside the hotel's main entrance. There is a dropped level kerb and paved route from the disabled parking into the hotel with a push button door for assisted opening. The main hotel entrance is via an automatic revolving door that can be fully opened upon request. If you need assistance with luggage or equipment, our reception team or porters will assist 24 hours. Reception The Reception desk is located on the ground floor of the hotel in the entrance lobby. The reception desk is 109 cm high with a lower level section at 66cm high, although check-in can also be completed whilst sitting at a table in the lounge if required. The following accessible aids are available at Reception: ‚Portable Induction Loop for use at Reception ‚ Large Button Phone ‚ Vibrating Pad to assist waking guests with hearing disabilities in the event of a fire alarm ‚ An evac chair is also available to enable staff to assist with the emergency evacuation of disabled, if necessary. To the right of the main reception are the lifts to the first and second floor bedrooms. Bedrooms The Stratford Hotel has 2 purpose built accessible rooms on the ground floor.

In the event of fire alarm activation these rooms have both a sounder and a visual flashing light. In the event of an emergency a member of the team will assist with your evacuation if necessary. Fire evacuation advice is provided on the back of your bedroom door and a disabled refuge area is situated at the foot of the stairwell in the fire escape next to both accessible rooms, in case staff need to summon extra assistance during your evacuation. Public Areas There are no steps or slopes on the main corridors and public areas on the ground floor. All the restaurant, bar and lounge facilities at The Stratford Hotel are located on the ground floor making them easily accessible. All lifts have audible enunciation and tactile buttons at standard height. Accessible toilet facilities are located in the lounge area on the ground floor. Conference, Banqueting & Meeting Rooms Our meeting rooms are located on the ground floor and are fully accessible from Reception. Hearing loops are available upon request in advance. Lighting can be dimmed where required. Please notify your conference or banquet for specific seating or staging requirements. Accessible toilet facilities are located in the lounge area on the ground floor. Outdoor Facilities The patio area can be accessed via the rear entrance to the hotel, which is level and paved.
