Mobility information:The following are excerpts from Havewheelchairwilltravel.net:
ACCESSIBLE VILLA
"We stayed in Pandanus Villa 605 which is a two bedroom purpose built mobility access villa. A gentle ramp provides wheelchair access from the parking space to the front door."
KITCHEN
"The kitchen is well designed with room under the sink for a wheelchair user, cups and plates in a drawer with easy access. The dishwasher, washing machine, dryer and small appliances are all at a good height for wheelchair access."
BEDROOMS
"The villa sleeps four people. The main bedroom has been designed for wheelchair access with room to transfer from wheelchair to bed and a sliding door to the lounge room.
The second bedroom has two single beds and reverse cycle air conditioning but there is not a lot of room for a wheelchair in this room."
BATHROOM
"The bathroom in the Pandanus Villa is situated between the two bedrooms with direct access from both rooms. It is spacious and well designed for wheelchair users. It has a hand held adjustable shower, large shower bench, room under the sink for a wheelchair and grab rails.
Wheelchair accessible bathrooms are often cold because they are large but the heat lamps in this bathroom provided lovely warmth."
ACTIVITIES
"Shipwreck Shores Waterpark is a fantastic space and loads of fun for the adventurous and the more cautious.
I was absolutely thrilled to find out that the park has a beach wheelchair available for guests to use. Â This makes the water park accessible to all and is a thoughtful inclusion ensuring that this is a truly inclusive getaway for families."
